As adventure bikers, we all like a bit of off–road action on our adventure bikes, even if most of us spend the vast majority of our time riding on road. After all, that’s why the Bridgestone Trail at the ABR Festival is so popular. With over 50km of prime Warwickshire trails just beyond the front of your tent, it’s the perfect chance to find out just how competent you and your bike are on the rough stuff and hopefully, just how enjoyable off-road riding really is.

Crash bars and bash plates are popular accessories for adventure motorcyclists because they help protect vulnerable parts of your bike from expensive repair bills and the potential of trip-ending damage. Ponder this: why don’t you see more Tiger 1200s on the road? Perhaps you do, but I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled while living with Triumph’s flagship adventure bike over the past few months, and I’ve been left baffled at how few big Tiger riders I’ve given a cheery wave too as they’ve passed. I’ve seen countless big GSs on my travels, along with plenty of Africa Twins, Multistradas, and KTM Super Adventures, but I can count on one hand the number of Tiger 1200s I’ve come across.

I’m not always the most proactive when it comes to maintenance, and I find myself missing chain lubrication and adjustment intervals more often than I should. The Arai Tour-X 4 has long been one of our favourite adventure helmets here at ABR, and thanks to Nomadic Knights, you’ve got chance to win one. There’s a lot we love about the Tour-X 4. It’s exceptionally comfortable, aerodynamic, and quiet for touring, and it has plenty of ventilation and a big, solid peak for riding off-road.
