1 Introduction Post-thoracotomy ipsilateral shoulder pain (ISP) emerges as a multifaceted and prevalent postoperative complication in thoracic surgery, affecting a substantial proportion of patients. The incidence of ISP, reported to range widely from 30% to 70%, significantly impacts patient recovery and overall quality of life [1-3]. The pain experienced by patients varies in intensity and duration, ranging from mild discomfort to severe, further complicating postoperative care.

Blood was collected from 20 healthy human donors for isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), and NSCLC specimens were collected from 82 patients with NSCLC during surgery or by biopsy (Table S1) at Daping Hospital under a protocol approved by the ethical review committees. All cell lines used in this study was purchased from Shanghai Cell Bank of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai, China).
