COLUMBIA — The man found guilty of forcible rape and first-degree assault from a 1984 incident has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison. James Frederick Wilson abducted a woman at knifepoint more than 40 years ago north of Columbia. The case went cold until 2022, when DNA evidence identified him as a suspect.
