A 64-year-old man from Columbia has been accused of sexual misconduct after he allegedly exposed himself in the parking lot of Douglass High School last week. Mark Dennis Jones is charged with first-degree sexual misconduct after he allegedly exposed himself and urinated on the ground Douglass High School in front of a student, who is a minor. The student and her mother were in their vehicle when the alleged incident happened, according to court documents.

A 70-year-old man was arrested following a reported stabbing Monday in the 2900 block of Leeway Drive in Columbia, according to the Columbia Police Department. Arthur Hooks, of Columbia, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, police said in a news release. The victim reportedly arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The victim and witnesses identified the suspect as Hooks, police said.

All lanes of Interstate 70 in Columbia are open after crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation finished removing an exit ramp ahead of schedule. Police responded to reports around 8:30 a.m. of a man threatening people with a weapon in the 100 block of North Stadium Boulevard, according to CPD. A KOMU 8 reporter saw around 10 police vehicles and officers who had rifles outside Ash Street Place Apartments just before 1:30 p.m. Friday.
