Two years ago, as Amy Carleton and Michael Kitchen reflected on the various music festivals and concerts they’d attended, they reached the conclusion that something was missing: The artists were all fantastic, they both agreed. But what they yearned to experience was a deeper connection with the music and events. On Jan. 24, the two will give music lovers in Charlotte a chance to connect more deeply with jazz when their Black Notes Project returns to Uptown.
