New Orleans Saints quarterback coach Andrew Janocko is expected to interview for a spot on the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff. On Wednesday night, ESPN Saints reporter Katherine Terrell was the first to report that Seattle requested and was granted permission to speak to Janocko for their vacant quarterback coaching vacancy. Janocko, 36, just completed his first season on the New Orleans staff. Prior to joining the Saints, Janocko was the QB coach for the Chicago Bears from 2022 to 2023.

Reports late Tuesday night surfaced that Mike McCarthy is no longer in consideration for the New Orleans Saints head coach vacancy. McCarthy, 61, had been the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys for the last five seasons. In that time he guided Dallas to three playoff appearances and a 49-35 record. Unable to reach a contract extension, McCarthy and the Cowboys parted ways this offseason. Prior to Dallas, McCarthy had coached the Green Bay Packers for 13 years between 2006 and 2018.

The New Orleans Saints are wasting little more time in a possible pursuit of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore for their head coaching vacancy. New Orleans front office personnel flew to Philadelphia and landed at Philadelphia International Airport just prior to 7 p.m. Eastern Time. From there, the Saints are expected to proceed to a meeting with Kellen Moore about their open head coaching spot. Moore, 36, is in his first year as Eagles offensive coordinator.

The New Orleans Saints have now lost two respected coaches in the last two days. On Sunday, it was reported that Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak had accepted the same position with the Seattle Seahawks. Monday's news followed with New Orleans Linebacker Coach Mike Hodges joining the staff of the Cincinnati Bengals. Hodges will be the LB coach at Cincinnati, the same position he held with the Saints. New Orleans has a coaching staff in flux.

Their search was perhaps altered by Saturday's surprising news that Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has pulled himself out of consideration, according to reports from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. New Orleans has already had in-person interviews with Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.

A historic winter storm early this week caused the New Orleans Saints to reschedule three in-person coaching interviews that they had set up. One of those, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, has since accepted the job with the New York Jets. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is now reporting that the Saints have been able to set up some in-person interviews with their top remaining candidates.
