    OVERLAND — Police on Tuesday issued an alert for a missing woman and her 1-year-old child. Miranda Burnett was supposed to drop her daughter off with a family member Monday afternoon but never arrived, said the Missouri Highway Patrol. The 31-year-old woman's texts have authorities concerned she may harm herself, police said. They are also worried about the safety of the child, Harlow Rae Burnett, who they believe is with her. Police said Burnett is 5'9" and 125 pounds.

    ST. LOUIS — City officials are hoping to secure an additional $4.3 million to pay for repairs at a deteriorating downtown garage. Engineers and construction workers have spent more than two years studying and repairing the more than 40-year-old garage at 400 North Sixth Street just off Washington Avenue.     STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY — The families at St. Joseph School were in a position familiar to many Catholics: The parish school they loved was shutting down. They found out in November through a leak on social media, weeks before it was officially announced by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. St. Joseph, about 60 miles south of St. Louis in unincorporated Zell, is the smallest school in the archdiocese. It has 27 pupils — total — in kindergarten through fifth grades. Still, the news came as a shock.
