The president's tariff threats have rattled business leaders, both locally and nationally, and they've also strained broad consumer confidence. If the additional tariffs do end up being enacted March 4, experts have said they could increase prices for everything from home construction to manufacturing. Tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada, as well as a new levy on products from China, will take effect next week — unless, of course, they don't.
