The lowest hanging fruit in all of this is creating a roster that could compete, which certainly doesn’t seem like a tall ask in the transfer portal era. You got an increased budget compared to what Mack Brown had, so you can spend for good players, and we can see what happens from there. Simple, right?

Now, former Alabama power forward Jarin Stevenson has committed to the Tar Heels, earning Hubert Davis yet another talented player in the transfer portal. This announcement, as you would expect, caused a lot of commotion from both fans and analysts, mostly because it was expected that he would enter the NBA Draft if he were to make any kind of move.
