Photo by Peyton Williams/Getty Images Going into the offseason for college football, my biggest hope was that Bill Belichick would do enough to get me excited about the program. The lowest hanging fruit in all of this is creating a roster that could compete, which certainly doesn’t seem like a tall ask in the transfer portal era. You got an increased budget compared to what Mack Brown had, so you can spend for good players, and we can see what happens from there. Simple, right?

Now, former Alabama power forward Jarin Stevenson has committed to the Tar Heels, earning Hubert Davis yet another talented player in the transfer portal. If you aren’t super familiar with Alabama’s roster but you feel like you’ve heard Stevenson’s name before, there’s a reason.

Photo by Matt Dirksen/Chicago Cubs/Getty Images We’re almost nearly a month into the Major League Baseball season. Things there are obviously still way too early to draw any definitive conclusions about players or teams, you can start to get a hang of things. As you might expect for a program that’s generally been very good in recent decades, the North Carolina Tar Heels have a fair number of alumni currently in the big leagues.
