    CLAY, N.Y. — Onondaga County is seeking approval from the county legislature for $27 million to support supply chain activities related to Micron. The funds are intended to prepare sites for businesses that Micron partners with globally, aiming to attract some of these companies to the area. Bob Petrovich, the Deputy County Executive, explained during a Ways and Means Committee meeting that the supply chain companies are interested in owning land in Onondaga County rather than leasing.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y — Syracuse police have maintained a heavy presence on the westside of Syracuse for several hours on Wednesday, January 15. The presence is based near Elliot and Arthur Streets, with several police cars, an ambulance, a crime scene van and other SWAT operations. Syracuse Police Officers have been seen approaching a home near the corner of Arthur and Elliot Streets by CNY Central crews, and speaking on a loud speaker. Several blocks of Arthur Street have been blocked off by police.
