While the area continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, the University of North Carolina at Asheville, with the support of the NC General Assembly will offer grants for the 2025 Spring Semester that covers up to the Full Cost of In-State Tuition. The Grant is for All Undergrad Students with both In and Out-of-State Tuition whose Tuition is not Already Fully covered by other grants, scholarships, etc.

Give Thanks Greetings friends! Several years ago, I submitted a challenge to my daughter Taylor to see which one of us could wait until the day after Thanksgiving to do anything having to do with Christmas; music, decorations, etc. When she asked why, I told her I believed that Thanksgiving was getting lost in the holiday shuffle and that we needed to pause and “Give Thanks” for our many blessings before diving into all things Christmas.

Polling places are Open and will be until 7:30pm tonight. And as long as you are in line at your assigned polling place by 7:30 pm, you will be able to vote. The busiest times tend to be early in the morning and just before the polls close. Avoid longer lines by voting at off-peak times. It’s the final weekend of the Carolina Classic Fair AND a Wake Forest football game – The Deacs play Clemson at noon – on Saturday! Carpooling is advised if possible. Arrive early and follow the directional signs!!!Parking is available at the Joel Coliseum and Allegacy Stadium parking lots until full. *The cost to park Saturday morning = $30 dollars ($10 dollars to park after the game).
