CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Waking up on Sunday and walking outdoors was one of those “what in the world?” moments. Temperatures were in the 20s and 30s Sunday morning, with widespread frost and even a freeze for a few communities. Good news! That is likely the last time we will come close to a freeze across the Piedmont and Sandhills. Temperatures will be on the warmer side for the second half of April around Charlotte, which means it is time to start growing your cold-sensitive plants.

A great morning talking climate change with some of the residents at @SouthminsterNC Retirement Community. Enjoyed my time at Southminster, very welcoming group and the residents enjoyed learning about climate change. Some amazing questions too. A perfect topic to learn about https://t.co/RFC16CrRIt
