(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Carrigan Farms wasn’t supposed to open until next week, but strawberry season for them started a little earlier. “We had a few 80-degree days last week, and that really ripened up the fruit. We got a lot of red fruit out here, so we’ve got people out here to come and pick them,” said William Carrigan, a fifth-generation Carrigan farm owner.
