Redshirt junior walk-on safety Caleb Nix has entered the transfer portal. Nix saw action in 10 games over three seasons and got in on one assisted tackle in 2023 versus Florida Atlantic. The brother of Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix, he earned all-state honors and All-Area Player of the Year in helping the Central (Al.) Red Devils to a 13-1 record and Class 7A state title game berth as a senior quarterback. He accounted for 5,415 total yds and 67 TDs during his prep career.

In his 2025 debut start, Spencer Strider made some more history. Coming off of elbow surgery that ended his 2024 season early, Strider showed off some of his usual dominating stuff in Toronto on Wednesday. With his fifth strikeout in 4+ innings, Strider became the fastest Major League Baseball primary starter to 500 career strikeouts (in 334 career innings).

CBS Sports went back and celebrated the top game from each regular-season campaign in this century, where a Clemson win garnered an honor. That distinction goes to the 2016 Top 5 battle between Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson, a 42-36 Tigers triumph over Louisville in Death Valley. The game had five ties or lead changes en route to a would-be national champ Watson besting the eventual Heisman winner Jackson.
