The National Weather Service reported a tornado near Lynchburg, Ohio early Thursday morning as part of a strong line of storms that swept through the Tri-State overnight. The tornado was confirmed by the NWS in Highland County just after 1 a.m.A strong debris signature was seen just northeast of Fayetteville around 1:20 a.m. A few minutes later, the NWS issued a Confirmed Tornado Warning for Highland, Clinton and Brown counties. WCPO 9 has a crew on its way to the scene.

CINCINNATI — Mark your calendars! This Friday, March 14, 2024, the Cincinnati metro and Tri-State area will experience its first total lunar eclipse since November 8, 2022. The next opportunity won’t occur until March of 2026. This is happening Thursday night into Friday morning (not Friday night into Saturday). A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow that completely covers the Moon.

While that is a loaded question, we finally have some data that can help us find an answer. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center (CPC) officially released its 2024-2025 Winter Outlook Thursday, October 17. The outlook covers December 2024 through February 2025, which is considered Meteorological Winter.
