Easter Sunday is shaping up to be a nice day overall. Rain arrives from the south this afternoon and evening, with rain chances in the Twin Cities hiking up after about 6 pm. That leaves plenty of time for dry egg hunts. We'll otherwise have increasing cloud cover with highs generally in the 50s. It'll be the warmest in Northwest Minnesota. That part of the region evades this round of rain and keeps elevated fire weather risks today.

Today marks the end of May, which makes Saturday the start of meteorological summer. It’ll shape up to be a rather summery weekend overall with seasonable warmth and a couple of rounds of rain to track. Our Friday begins with morning showers for eastern Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin near and ahead of a cold front. Rain chances will taper off west to east with the Twin Ports drying out in the morning, but showers and thunderstorms may linger in northwest Wisconsin this afternoon.
