    Weltec Biopower’s control system for biogas plants has received a general update focused on new functionalities and a user interface upgrade. The previous control system sections previously known as LoMos an CeMos will also merge under the new name WB Control, which can be used for small and large industrial operations. The web-based software contains a customizable dashboard for data overviews and comprehensive monitoring of plant data.

    Several large pigs are dead after a transport truck caught fire while hauling livestock in the Tecumseh area on Tuesday morning. Tecumseh OPP said their officers and Tecumseh firefighters responded around 8:19 a.m. to a report of a commercial vehicle fire on North Talbot Road near Concession Road 8. Flames had ignited on the trailer part of the 18-wheel tractor trailer. The fire was limited to the rear of the trailer and the tractor cab portion was unaffected.

    The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing an additional $6 million in the Grow Ontario Market Initiative to help agri-food businesses and industry organizations expand their sales and grow their markets. The increase brings the total funding for the Initiative through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership to $12 million.

    The 2023 North American Manure Expo might be in the rearview mirror, but the lessons learned at the event will last attendees a lifetime. One of the day-one tours at the event was at the EnTech digester facility outside of Madison, WI. EnTech purchased the digester in 2020 with the intention to convert the biogas digester to RNG, and to upgrade the facility to make it more valuable.
