Status Yellow rain warnings has been issued for Wicklow, with spells of heavy rain forecast. Met Éireann has issued a further Status Yellow warning for Galway and Mayo between 6am tomorrow morning until 9pm on Friday night, while a third rain warning will come into effect for counties Carlow, Dublin, Louth, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford between 6am on Friday until 6am on Saturday. Localised flooding is possible in the impacted counties.

Three people have been charged in connection with the death of a man in Co. Wicklow earlier this year. William Moorehouse was found dead in a child's playground in January.The body of William Moorehouse was found in Ballywaltrim playground in Bray on January 19th. The 36 year old was a father of six and his partner was pregnant with his seventh child at the time.

A potentially explosive device, used in military operations, has been recovered in Carlow. The army bomb disposal team was called to a home in Hacketstown at 10 o'clock last night resulting in the area being cordoned off and homes evacuated.The device was not viable and was safely removed. It followed an appeal around the ordnance, which is used to light up an area during night-time operations, after it went missing after being spotted on a walking trail at Lugnaquilla

Two teenagers have been hospitalised following a public order incident in Bray at the weekend.The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in the north Wicklow town. The teenagers, both male, were taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital shortly after the incident. They are currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries, gardaí have said. It is understood that forensic analysts attended the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A repeat of a scam that fleeced drivers in Bray and Greystones last October, bogus QR stickers were placed on two parking machines and Payzone signage in Wicklow town, and one machine in Arklow, with the QR code sticker bringing the user to a fraudulent cloned website which requests credit card details and other personal data.
