Belfast City Council is considering buying back a number of buildings that were earmarked for redevelopment as part of the Tribeca scheme, Belfast Live understands. The buildings being considered include the historic Assembly Rooms at the corner of North Street and Waring Street. Built in 1769, the building was given listed status in 1975 and has been placed on a list of 'at-risk' sites by the World Monuments Fund.

The daughter of a West Belfast woman who is currently battling stage 4 triple negative breast cancer has said that the cost of her mum's cancer treatment should not be a barrier to her receiving the best treatment on the NHS. After discovering a lump on her breast last summer, 59-year-old Donna McMenamin underwent a biopsy and mammogram in July. The Andersonstown woman felt a sense of relief after the results of the mammogram came back clear.
