DiscussionHere we describe a set of simple adaptations that can be applied to an existing upright microscope to allow high-sensitivity IOSI. These adaptations make use of readily available commercial parts, can be implemented in an afternoon (or less), require no custom machining, and do not require any specialized skills in optics, electronics, circuit design, or programming.
