There was no stress to worry about. The only thing Tyler Cattoggio had to focus on Tuesday night was playing the game he loved. The Bridgewater-Raynham senior launched a two-run homer in the fourth inning, helping the South All-Stars win the 47th Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game with a 3-0 blanking of the North at Boston College High School. “I think it’s great getting to show everybody what we can do individually and as a team,” Cattoggio said afterward.

BUZZARDS BAY — After witnessing sister Holly win a state championship just two days prior, Matt Panttila started having visions of grandeur. WELLESLEY — It’s pretty safe to say that Izzy Kittredge is having a year to remember. The junior star turned in her latest heroic performance, sniping six goals as top-ranked Medfield knocked off No. 2 Newburyport for the second straight year in the Div. 3 girls lacrosse championship, 18-8. “I think it’s really about feeding off of my teammates’ energy,” Kittredge said. “This group, we talked about it earlier, how we didn’t know how this tournament was going to go in the beginning.

They do. Hence why teams like Medfield are above schools like L-S. But it was a one-goal game when Billerica knocked off BC High. Eagles responded by defeating some of the state’s best. Then, they forced OT against the No. 1 school - in the championship.

@BConn63 Head to head results don’t matter? It’s why you play the game. If BCH beat SJP twice in the regular season, but lose to them in the state championship, are you putting them #1? Of course not. Strength of schedule only matters when you don’t have H2H results. Don’t overcook this
