FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Franklin family is looking for a new home after lightning hit their roof during Saturday’s severe storms and started a fire. A large blue tarp covers the roof where the lightning bolt struck and went down to a gas line that spread flames through the attic. Firefighters were able to get there quickly and save the house, but major water damage is forcing the entire structure to be gutted.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Major changes are being made this week to Nashville’s paid street parking program. City leaders are trying to make it easier and less expensive for people to park downtown by eliminating problems with the electronic ParkSmart system that was introduced two years ago. New signs are being installed across paid street parking zones this week.

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A brief EF-1 tornado has been confirmed from Saturday afternoon in Humphreys County. The National Weather Service said the 90 mph winds ripped through the Buffalo area with the severe storms. Roofs were torn apart at Overholt’s Farm Market, where owner Nathan Overholt said his wife saw the storm approaching and got everyone at the business to their safe place. Crews were busy on Sunday and Monday starting the repair process.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An apartment complex in Bellevue is without water amid extreme cold temperatures after a pipe burst on Monday night. Tenants told WSMV4′s Brendan Tierney that they’re still waiting for their water to come back on. The pipe burst in a building in a building at Novel Harpeth Heights just off Old Hickory Boulevard. Residents said that they noticed the low pressure on Monday afternoon and then the water stopped flowing sometime in the night.
