Another property — a former industrial building used by the D.     Kitchener councillors will consider banning the sale of fireworks in the city at an upcoming meeting. Staff are recommending the move in the wake of a growing number of fireworks-related complaints and safety concerns. Pending council’s approval, a sales ban would begin in 2026, giving the 20 Kitchener businesses currently licensed to sell fireworks (and only for 18 days a year) time to sell remaining stock and educate the public, a report said.
