WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Central Catholic baseball team is heading back to state for the third year. The Knights defeated Morgan Township 4-3 this past Saturday to advance to their third consecutive state finals. However, the road to get here wasn’t paved in gold. At the start of the season, the team was very uncertain of whether or not they could continue with CC’s legacy of winning. After all, the Knights lost six seniors from last year’s state championship team.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — This weekend the Rossville softball team will be heading to state for the first time in program history. The Hornets are on a 12-game win streak and are hoping to make it 13 after Saturday. However,  they'll have their work cut out for them as they take on the number one team in Class 1A. Rossville will face Tecumseh on Saturday afternoon. The Braves have reached the finals four out of the last five years.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — High school girls tennis is entering its last week of competition, and one local athlete is still fighting for a chance to win a state title. Senior and navy Commit Emma Gu helped the Raiders reach its first-ever semifinal state match this year. However, the team didn’t advance as they dropped their match against South Bend Saint Joseph 3-2. Even though the Raiders didn’t advance as a team, Gu still managed to advance individually.
