HEADS UP! New hi-res models are hinting at a more “organized chance” of severe weather later this afternoon into the evening. Should this verify, more of Texoma could see a damaging wind threat tonight, as well as hail to the size of gold balls & a few tornadoes. We will keep an eye on it... Our storm chances ramp up for Tuesday & Wednesday, especially for southern Oklahoma. Once again, large hail, damaging winds & tornadoes will be possible, especially in the afternoon & evening each day.

Winds will run 10 to 20 mph out of the south, so not as strong as they were on Tuesday.

Drier air filtered into Texoma skies Thursday and that lowered the Heat Index, or “feels like” temperatures a few degrees compared to recent days. However, it’s not enough to shake the Excessive Heat Warning which continues Friday. Look for a very warm night with most spots bottoming out near 80 degrees and highs back in the range of 102 degrees east to 108 degrees west for Friday. Heat Indexes of 105 to 110 can be expected.
