Christopher Tate spent the night in jail after he was arrested and accused of robbing the TD Bank on Main Street in Brattleboro on Thursday afternoon.Brattleboro Police got the call just before 3 p.m. that someone had robbed the bank. They quickly got a description of the person and vehicle involved. They located the vehicle and stopped it. That's when police say the 41-year-old Tate got out of the vehicle and started running.

Voters in northern New York said "yes" to their district budgets for the next school year. In Saranac Lake, the $38.1 million budget passed with nearly 84% of voters approving. Voters also approved the purchase of new transportation vehicles that will cost the district up to $324,000. Mark Farmer and Zachary Randolph were re-elected to the school board. In Beekmantown, the school budget for next year was approved on a 423 to 196 vote.
