A man has pleaded guilty to murdering two women on Christmas Day. Jazwell Brown stabbed Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, at a block of flats in Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley. At a hearing at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday, Brown, 49, also admitted attempting to murder 29-year-old Bradley Latter and a teenage boy during the same attack. He is due to be sentenced on 22 May. Brown, also of Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, spoke only to confirm his identity and enter pleas.

A teenager accused of stabbing a man to death has told a jury he paid a friend to buy him knives online on two occasions because he was underage. Jacob Zuco, of Kimble Drive, Bedford, said he asked a friend to order a knife for him because he was "meant to be" 18. He told Luton Crown Court he used the knife in a "tussle" with Leon Penman in March 2024 - when he was still 17.

A 25-year-old woman has been jailed for five and a half years after hitting a 14-year-old boy who was crossing a road while she was distracted by a messaging app. Christopher Arnett was killed after being hit by a car driven by Evie Wiles in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, on 2 February 2023. Judge Andrew Hatton said Wiles, of Lockers Park Lane in the town, had gone through a red light at a junction and been distracted by a WhatsApp conversation.
