Four golfers kept their 2025 US Open dreams alive with terric rounds at the First Stage Qualifier at CasaBlanca Golf Club in the golf destination of Mesquite, Nevada. The CasaBlanca local qualifier brings together golfers trying to live the dream of playing in the US Open, to be played June 13-15, 2025 at historic Oakmont Country Club. Co-medalists Drake Harvey and Jerry Chen finished at 4-under par, and epitomize what chasing that US Open dream is all about.

Future stars of the LPGA tour wrapped up the second round of the reliance matrix championship presented by Epson at Spanish Trail Country Club; and with it came a new name atop the leaderboard. Dorsey Addicks carded her second consecutive 4-under 68 to claim the solo lead at 8-under heading into the weekend in Las Vegas. Local Yana Wilson is among the leaders tied for eighth at 5-under after two rounds.

Rebels rise up and go big during award season. The UNLV women’s golf team earned an impressive sweep of 2024-25 Mountain West honors as seniors Toa Yokoyama, Mayumi Umezu, and McKenzi Hall were recognized with All-Conference selections, and head coach Amy Bush-Herzer was named the league’s Coach of the Year. Yokoyama and Umezu received All-MW First Team accolades, while Hall was chosen for the Second Team. “I couldn’t be more proud of Toa, Mayumi, and McKenzi,” said Bush-Herzer.
