A cold front drops into Western Pennsylvania this afternoon to bring a few showers and cooler temperatures to close the week.Few showers Thursday afternoonA cold front arrives after lunch from the north. As it arrives to northern areas this afternoon, a few light showers may accompany it. These showers will struggle to continue south of US 422. As the front passes through the area, temperatures will drop. Our high today will occur early afternoon for locations in and north of the city.

Better coverage of rain tonight with a mainly dry weekend.Scattered showers FridayA warm front will move through Western PA during the morning and early afternoon. This will allow the chance for a few showers, but most of the passage of the warm front should be dry.

AS I MENTIONED, MAKE SURE YOU GRAB THE SUNGLASSES. LOTS OF SUNSHINE TODAY AS YOU HEAD OUTSIDE. A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR US. WATCHING FOR SHOWERS LATE TOMORROW THOUGH, WILL LINGER INTO YOUR SATURDAY MORNING AND THEN COOLER SATURDAY AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES WILL BE MORE SEASONAL AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND, SO TOMORROW WE’RE WATCHING RAIN CHANCES THAT COULD BEGIN AS SOON AS LUNCHTIME. THESE WILL BE VERY ISOLATED SHOWERS IF THEY’RE ABLE TO DEVELOP AND SHOULD BE QUICK MOVING.

IT’S BEEN A BEAUTIFUL WEEK FOR US AND THAT WILL CONTINUE TODAY, AS THIS WILL BE THE WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK AND POTENTIALLY THE WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR AS OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR 80 DEGREES. I THINK SOME SPOTS SOUTH OF THE CITY COULD GET THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR. AND THOSE EVEN FURTHER SOUTH AS YOU HEAD INTO WEST VIRGINIA LIKE MORGANTOWN, COULD HIT IT AGAIN AS THOSE SPOTS HAVE ALREADY SEEN 80 DEGREES THERE ON IMPACT DAY THIS WEEKEND.

Temperatures will remain feeling like May with temperatures in the 70s each afternoon through Saturday. A couple of showers may try to rain on the St. Patrick's Day parade with widespread rain holding off until Saturday night.Warm stretch with dry skies Highs will reach 70 for locations generally along and south of US 422 today. All of us should reach 70 on Friday and Saturday with the middle 70s possible from Pittsburgh south.
