QUINCY (WGEM) - We are set up for what will be a flawless weekend for the region. High temperatures in the low 80s with low relative humidity and abundant sunshine. It is a chamber of commerce weekend. Monday, we introduced the potential for some rain showers moving in out of the south. The system may take a little bit to get any rain going, so I am not totally sold on it. But for now, we’ll say cloud cover develops Monday, and some scattered showers develop late Monday.

QUINCY (WGEM) - High pressure continues to build in and will dominate the forecast through the weekend. High pressure generally means fair weather conditions and plenty of sunshine. There may be some high cloudiness for your Friday and a northeasterly wind that will keep our temperatures down into the low 70s for a high. But once we get through Friday, the weekend temperatures begin to soar with highs that will be near 80.

QUINCY (WGEM) - Our pesky area of low pressure will finally say goodbye like a bad houseguest will say adios on Cinco de Mayo. Haha! Should set us up for decent sunshine on Tuesday after a bit of patchy morning fog. Additional good news is that the sunshine comes with not a lot of wind. As a matter of fact, calm wind is expected for much of the day on Tuesday. There is just a minimal shot at some scattered to stray showers on Wednesday, especially late in the afternoon.
