WGEM-TV serves as the NBC-affiliated television station for the Tri-States region, which includes Western Illinois, Northeastern Missouri, and the southeastern part of Iowa. The station is based in Quincy, Illinois, and transmits a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 10 from a transmitter located on Cannonball Road, just east of the city near I-172. WGEM-TV is a key station for Quincy Newspapers and operates alongside The Quincy Herald-Whig, as well as WGEM-AM-FM. The station's studios can be found in the New Tremont Apartments, which were previously known as the Hotel Quincy, situated on Hampshire Street in Downtown Quincy.
