Getty ImagesThe U.S. has agreed to temporarily drop its tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30% and China will in turn drop its tariffs on U.S. goods from 125% to 10%. May 12 was a flash point in the ongoing tariff troubles between the U.S. and China. Both sides agreed to a 90-day moratorium on retaliatory tariff hikes, trimming hefty tariffs for the three-month trade truce. The deal's centerpiece is a decline in reciprocal tariffs from 125% to 10% for the entire 90-day period.
