A narcotics investigation in Des Moines on Thursday night ended with at least one officer firing shots at a suspect, who later died. Investigators from the Des Moines Police Department's Narcotics Section requested assistance in stopping an "involved person" in the 1200 Block of Maury Street on the city's southeast side, according to a release from the department.
