TOOELE — One person was hospitalized early Saturday with a gunshot wound and the suspected gunman was arrested following a police chase. Officers responded to a report of a shooting about 3:30 a.m. at Vorwaller Homestead and RV, 715 N. Main in Tooele. The victim was transported by helicopter to a hospital, said Tooele Police Cpl. Colbey Bentley.

RICHFIELD — Police arrested a Richfield man Monday after they say he discharged a gun inside a Walmart store. Zachery James Hampton, 26, was booked into the Sevier County Jail for investigation of reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, carrying a concealed loaded firearm, violation of a protective order and possession of a controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Hampton was at a self checkout at Walmart, 10 E.

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police on Sunday arrested a second man accused of shooting and killing a man outside a warehouse in a Poplar Grove neighborhood last month as part of what police call a "coordinated effort with several shooters."Nay Blu Soe, 21, was arrested as he deboarded a plane at the Salt Lake City International Airport after returning to Utah from Detroit.

Alaska Airlines says Boeing has paid the carrier $160 million in "initial compensation" for a panel that blew out of an Alaska Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliner in January. The airline said Thursday that it expects additional compensation, the terms of which it said are confidential. The payment covered Alaska's pretax loss related to the accident, including lost revenue and the cost of returning its Max 9 fleet to service after the planes were grounded for three weeks.
