JOHNSON CITY — It was a wet night across the region on Thursday, but all was fine at Providence Academy. The Knights hosted the first of three days of the Blue Ridge Classic soccer tournament, with the host Knights and Unicoi County playing to a scoreless draw, followed by Chuckey-Doak defeating Daniel Boone, 2-0, in the second match. According to Providence head coach Mike Cash, the event has been held for more than two decades, but has usually been played in the rain or snow.
