    Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible through most of the week. Frost is also expected on Tuesday and Wednesday due to lows in the 30s in many of our valleys; make sure that plants are covered during the overnight and early morning periods. Temperatures will be warming by the later parts of the week, with highs getting into the 80s. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect until 6 AM Wednesday for the Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains. Periodic snow showers for the Beartooth Highway.

    Sunny and hot conditions continue across western Montana, with highs making it up into the 90s. However, we'll see a cold front pushing through this evening. Our main threats will be some gusty conditions moving through beginning at around 7 PM. Sunday will see the possibility of strong thunderstorms in southwestern Montana. Our main concerns will be frequent lightning and gusty winds. Cooler temperatures arrive as we start off the work week, especially in higher elevations.

    MISSOULA, Mont. — Two Montana hospitals received awards from Practice Greenhealth for their sustainable practices. Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula earned The Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award. For being in the top 20% of applicants, Providence St. Joseph in Polson received the Emerald Award. Practice Greenhealth awards hospitals that practice sustainability in health care, with a particular emphasis on leadership, waste, climate, food and more.

    KALISPELL, Mont. — Samaritan House announced they have raised $2 million with the help of the community to reach a total of $8.3 million raised. The goal is to hit $16.9 million in funding to help veterans out of homelessness and maintain independence through the development of affordable apartments. Construction on the new housing facilities will begin on July 1.
