    SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES) said Monday night they responded to a call for a person in distress on Lake Michigan. The person was found about five miles south of the lighthouse by a boater. Emergency responders were dispatched at 6 p.m. The boater had called in to report that they had found an unconscious person floating in the water. SHAES said the boater had tried to get the victim out of the water but could not.
