According to the Northland FireWire, the incident happened around 11 a.m. at the Essling Apartments near Jones Street and Adams Avenue. No injuries have been reported at this point, according to the FireWire. Roads in that area have been closed down and residents are being evacuated. There was no immediate word on what caused the partial collapse.

    DULUTH, Minn. -- After tenants tried to use a garden hose to extinguish the flames, firefighters were eventually able to knock down a porch fire at a Duluth duplex Sunday night. According to the Duluth Fire Department, they responded to the home on West Third Street and Seventh Avenue in the Observation Hill neighborhood just before 10 p.m.They saw flames on the front porch when they got there, which the residents were working to extinguish with a garden hose.

    HIBBING, Minn. (Northern News Now) - One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation following a fire at an Iron Range apartment building Friday night. According to Friends of the Northland FireWire, the fire was reported around 11:10 p.m. at the 7th Avenue Apartments on 7th Avenue East in Hibbing. Crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from a unit on the second floor. Residents were evacuated as firefighters worked to get the blaze under control.

    TWIG, Minn. -- Crews responded to a grass fire along Highway 53 near Twig Thursday morning. The fire started around 11 a.m. near Industrial Road. There were no longer any visible flames around 12:15 p.m., according to our Northern News Now reporter on scene. According to fire investigators on scene, they believe the fire started in the median but they are still working to determine what caused it. No word on the exact acreage impacted.
