Rounds of severe storms on the way to North Texas Happy Tuesday! It's First Alert Weather Day as the team tracks the potential for two rounds of strong to severe storms. The first round develops ahead of a dryline with isolated storms in the Northwest areas starting around 3 p.m. and moving into the Metroplex closer to 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. The hail threat will be highest with these initial discrete cells, but not everyone will be impacted by the first round.

Good Monday morning!Luckily, the day starts quietly on Monday after Sunday night's severe storms. Numerous hail reports were focused on Parker and southern Tarrant counties. Hail sizes ranged from a dime to a baseball! Monday is the break in between the storms with lots of sunshine in the afternoon and highs in the lower 90s. The break is short-lived as the First Alert Weather Team is tracking the next round of strong to severe storms Tuesday afternoon into the evening hours.

Good Saturday morning! It's beautiful with sunny skies and drier air in place. Unfortunately, Dallas-Fort Worth has an Air Quality Alert. Those sensitive groups with upper respiratory issues will want to limit their time outdoors. But it's a great day to be poolside with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

The clouds will stick around through the midday hours and break up for partly cloudy skies during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain below normal, with highs topping out near 80 degrees with northerly winds. Sunshine returns on Saturday as high pressure moves in with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Happy Sunday morning!Another hot, muggy and breezy day is ahead with highs in the mid-90s. The morning clouds are already breaking up, and they will continue to do so for lots of afternoon sunshine. The high humidity will push heat indices to near 100, so stay hydrated and remember the sunblock! Most of North Texas remains dry during the daytime hours today, with just an isolated storm possible Sunday evening.
