A pretrial hearing was held on Tuesday in the case against Chris Burk. Chris Burk, who has since been terminated by the Salt Lake City Fire Department, taught CPR and EMT classes throughout the region, including at Salt Lake City Community College.

SALT LAKE CITY — It may cost more to own a rental property in West Jordan. The City Council wants to raise their landlord fees to keep up with inflation. The council is in the discussion phase of deciding how much they want to raise the standard fee for rental units, which currently ranges between $34 and $171, depending on the type of unit. The council is also discussing raising the fee for the Good Landlord Program, which is currently $21 per unit.
