On May 28, President Donald Trump pardoned 25-year-old rapper NBA YoungBoy, who had been sentenced to nearly two years in jail in Utah back in December 2024. The President didn’t explain why he pardoned the rap star. NBA YoungBoy’s record includes drug fraud and weapons charges, both federally and at the state level.

    EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Experts are issuing a safety warning specifically for young boys swimming this summer. It comes after 12-year-old Jason Thorpe nearly drowned Friday in an Eagle Mountain hot tub. Kathleen Steadman, with the Utah Drowning Prevention Coalition, said overconfidence can lead to danger. "With that age group, they're brave in the water," Steadman said. "They've learned how to swim. They've gone through swimming lessons."She said boys are more likely to drown.

    LEHI — A Paralympic skier has been arrested in Utah County and accused of trying to sexually abuse two children, although he contends his goal was only to humiliate their mother. Gilbert Camacho, 24, was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of two counts of attempted rape of a child and two counts of attempted sodomy on a child.
