LANSING, Mich. — Scattered showers and thunderstorms may bring heavy downpours and gusty winds to our neighborhoods this evening, before becoming more isolated overnight. Humidity levels will remain high, but a cold front sinking south of our area will allow temperatures to fall into the upper 60s by morning. With the cold front now south of us on Tuesday, we're in for a substantial break from the heat.

LANSING, Mich. — On this first night of Summer, humidity levels are climbing and we're bracing for some dangerous weekend heat. Mostly clear skies will take over for the first half of the night, giving way to a brief round of scattered thunderstorms between 3:00 AM - 7:00 AM. These storms are expected to mostly impact our northern neighborhoods around the greater Capital Region, and will have a low chance of becoming severe with the threat of damaging winds.

Temperatures are split across our neighborhoods this evening. 70s where sun has returned, while holding in the 60s under the clouds. Rain's gone, at least! #miwx https://t.co/VS6Ynm2av5

Last night's rain and cooler air has dragged wildfire smoke down to the surface today. Air quality is unhealthy for everyone, so avoid time and strenuous activity outdoors. You may also want to keep your windows closed and opt for air conditioning! #miwx https://t.co/H68E5ASv3v
