Police investigated a large crime scene on the North Shore early Thursday morning. Police were called to High Street in Lynn overnight and taped off the street while they investigated. At least two evidence markers could be seen on the ground behind yellow crime scene tape. Officers remained at the scene for a few hours. Lynn police referred Boston 25 News to the Essex County District Attorney’s office for more information. This is a developing story.

First responders are currently investigating after a train and a car collided in Worcester County Friday morning. The collision between a CSX train and a sedan happened at the railroad crossing on Sterling Street in Clinton just before 6:30 a.m., a member of the Clinton Fire Department told Boston 25 News. Two people inside the vehicle were transported to a local hospital, a CSX spokesperson told Boston 25 News.

Longtime fan favorite and Bruins captain Brad Marchand has been traded to the Florida Panthers, capping off an NHL trade deadline week filled with a flurry of moves for Boston. A woman in her 80s was rushed to the hospital after a collision with a Massachusetts State Police cruiser in Brookline Wednesday, state police told Boston 25 News. The state police cruiser was traveling at a “very low speed” on Route 9 and Hammond Street when it hit and knocked over the woman, a state police spokesperson said. The woman hit her head on her ground but was conscious and alert when she was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.

A teen was seriously injured after they were shot at an Easton apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Officers responding to the shooting at the Avalon apartment complex on Robert Drive around 2:30 p.m. found a teenage female victim suffering a serious gunshot wound, Easton police told Boston 25 News. She was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital before being flown by a helicopter to a Boston-area hospital, police told Boston 25 News. Her injuries are considered life-threatening.

A person has been rushed to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle near Brigham and Women’s Hospital Friday. The collision in the area of Binney and Francis Street triggered a large police response, according to a Boston police spokesperson. The person suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. Drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible. Yellow caution tape could be seen surrounding the intersection. This is a developing story.

Two people who were inside an ambulance had to be taken to the hospital when the emergency vehicle crashed Monday evening. Firefighters responded to the crash on Old Candia Road just before 7:00 p.m.First responders arrived to find that the driver of the ambulance was not responsive and another person inside the ambulance also needed medical treatment. Both were transported to the Elliot Hospital.

A beloved family dog will be reunited with its owner Tuesday after it was mistakenly taken from a front yard in Swampscott, police say. Trudy, a 14-year-old recovering from recent back surgery, was taken from a front yard on Bates Road by a man and a woman around 10:00 a.m., according to Swampscott police. The two individuals, who were spotted on surveillance video, contacted police after seeing social media posts, describing the accidental dog-napping as a well-intended mistake.
