Police investigated a large crime scene on the North Shore early Thursday morning. Police were called to High Street in Lynn overnight and taped off the street while they investigated. At least two evidence markers could be seen on the ground behind yellow crime scene tape. Officers remained at the scene for a few hours. Lynn police referred Boston 25 News to the Essex County District Attorney’s office for more information. This is a developing story.

First responders are currently investigating after a train and a car collided in Worcester County Friday morning. The collision between a CSX train and a sedan happened at the railroad crossing on Sterling Street in Clinton just before 6:30 a.m., a member of the Clinton Fire Department told Boston 25 News. Two people inside the vehicle were transported to a local hospital, a CSX spokesperson told Boston 25 News.

Longtime fan favorite and Bruins captain Brad Marchand has been traded to the Florida Panthers, capping off an NHL trade deadline week filled with a flurry of moves for Boston. A woman in her 80s was rushed to the hospital after a collision with a Massachusetts State Police cruiser in Brookline Wednesday, state police told Boston 25 News. The state police cruiser was traveling at a “very low speed” on Route 9 and Hammond Street when it hit and knocked over the woman, a state police spokesperson said. The woman hit her head on her ground but was conscious and alert when she was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
