Mercedes Mone’s reign as Strong Women’s Champion has come to an end. AZM is the new champion, defeating Mone and Mina Shirakawa in the main event of NJPW Resurgence. The finish had Shirakawa throwing Mone out of the ring as AZM gained the advantage and attempted several pinfall attempts, eventually succeeding and pinning Shirakawa to win the match and the title, ending Mone’s run after nearly one year.

She said her 90 days were up today and issued an open challenge to anyone in the back to face her. Viva Van accepted the challenge, but lost in a matter of minutes to the former Stardom star.

Elijah made his return to WWE on Tuesday. The former Elias made a surprise appearance on NXT, entering last in a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the NXT Championship. Although fans chanted ‘Elias’, he came out under his TNA name to chants of ‘welcome home’. He asked the crowd if they wanted to walk with Elijah before entering the ring.

Tetsuya Naito is undergoing surgery. In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Naito said that he would be undergoing surgery for his left eye on May 7. Additionally, he will be starting stem cell treatment on his right knee. This follows his final match under contract with NJPW that took place at Wrestling Dontaku back on May 4. In the article, Naito notes that he has had double vision in his right eye for many years and has undergone several surgeries to fix it, and now has issues with his left eye.
Duke Droese indicted on attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor

Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese has been indicted. In a press release sent out on Monday, District Attorney General Chris Stanford of the 31st Judicial District of Tennessee announced that Droese (real name Mike Droese) has been indicted on one count of attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. It was alleged that back on April 21 Droese used a Coinbase account to purchase child pornography off the dark web. The transaction was flagged and terminated before the purchase was complete.
