    Heat index values for must of the upcoming week are going to hit or exceed 100 degrees for most of the upcoming week. A heat advisory is in effect until at 8pm Wednesday. Skies today will be partly to mostly sunny with near record tying temps in the mid 90s. Tonight stays very muggy making tonight uncomfortable it times. Overnight lows will not fall too much at all only to the mid 70s. This would potentially tie the record for the warmest overnight low on the morning of June 24th.

    Sunday really cranks up the heat across central Ohio. High temperatures will reach the mid 90s. With dew points in the 70s, heat index values will feel more like 104 in the city and for much of the region. Heat index values for must of the upcoming week are going to hit or exceed 100 degrees for most of the upcoming week. A heat advisory will go into effect from noon Sunday until at least 8pm Wednesday. Tonight not much cooler will occur relatively speaking.

    The heat picks up across central Ohio to kick off the first full day of summer. Temperatures this afternoon will hit 90 degrees for the first time this year. This will all be done with partly/mostly sunny skies and elevated humidity. Winds this afternoon from the southwest will flow at 10-15 mph. Tonight under clear skies it will be a warm one. Morning lows are only going to drop to the mid 70s. This is well above average for this time of year.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) โ€” Central Ohio has seen plenty of showers and thunderstorms over the last several days in plenty of different rounds. Approaching the end of this pattern is a cold front that will usher in a much more stable setup going into the weekend. This front is expected to bring with it another round of storms that may lean on the more potent side. A line of strong to severe storms will approach the area late Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday.

    Tuesday brings more showers and storms in the afternoon. While rain totals in the city will remain minimal, heaver amounts are expected further south and east of Columbus. High temperatures for the next several days will stay near the 80 degree mark. Flood watches remain in effect until 10 pm for counties south and east of Columbus. Rain showers do taper during the overnight hours. Warm temperatures in the upper 60s and elevated humidity will remain.
