KVEO-TV (Brownsville, TX)

CBS 4 and NBC 23 are television stations located in the Harlingen-Weslaco-McAllen DMA, which covers the entire Rio Grande Valley region in southern Texas. Both stations are owned by Nexstar Media Group. NBC 23 first went on air in December 1981 and introduced its digital television signal in 2005. Local news programming resumed in October 2007. CBS 4 joined the lineup on January 28, 2020. Notably, CBS 4 was the pioneer of television broadcasting in the Rio Grande Valley, launching in October 1953.
