DANVERS — The town Electric Division announced recently that it will update its customer charges for 2025, effective immediately. The decision was made during the last Municipal Light Board meeting in December. While electric rates will remain unchanged for 2025, the Light Board said it had voted to increase the monthly fixed-fee customer charge, effective Jan. 1.

The panels installed on these school rooftops are now generating clean, renewable energy directly integrated into towns public power supply.

DANVERS — The Danvers Square CVS was held up Wednesday at the peak of rush hour when a hooded and masked bandit came into the store and demanded money from the cashier. According to Danvers police, the CVS, located at 1 Maple St. on the corner of Conant, was robbed around 5:15 p.m. by a person wearing a dark blue or black jacket with a hood that appeared to have a plaid pattern on the inside. The person was also wearing tan pants, a black face mask, black beanie and black shoes.

PEABODY — Ten people sustained minor injuries just moments after noon on Tuesday when a display of giant LEGOs fell on them just inside the lobby door of In The Game during an early New Year's Eve celebration. The incident, which was initially reported as a building collapse, brought a swift response of police, firefighters, ambulances and even one helicopter, according to police Lt.
