The incident attracted national attention at the time due to the disfiguring nature of the injuries inflicted on the then nine-year-old boy. A probation report has been completed on a man who admits inhumane killing of a dog involved in a horrific attack on a child in an Enniscorthy estate, Wexford Circuit Court was told. Niall Byrne of Forgelands in Enniscorthy pleaded guilty on a previous occasion that he put down the XL bully after it injured Alejandro Mizsan in November 2022.
