I have so much gratitude for the endorsers of The Mary We Forgot! In my experience, as a mother of three, full-time professor teaching and running grad programs, pastor preaching on the odd weekend, and a research-writer, it is very challenging to carve space out for endorsing another author’s book. With the tragic news in the world of the Middle East I was tempted to share books about that extraordinary, pained part of the world. We have books on the remarkable history of Israel, the pros and cons of Christian Zionism, about the daily grind of vile repression — more horrible than most realize — experienced by the Palestinians. Demands for justice for Palestinian civilians living in Gaza does not for one second in any way indicate support for the evil done by Hamas soldiers.
